We are Fentress Films
In 2020 right before the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world, Samantha (Sam) Bozin founded Fentress Films, a multi-media producition company which has now gone on to win awards across the globe for inclusivity, diversity, and creativity. Sam first started the company with the hope to create art for social change, and when the pandemic hit, she focused even more on making art accesible to everyone across the globe through the power of filmmaking, social media, and Zoom. At its core, Fentress Films is about bringing artists together and fostering creative minds through theatre.

Previously to creating her production company, Sam has been acting professionally in New York City since 2018, when she graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Sam has acted in numerous plays, short films, and readings in the NYC regional and Off-Broadway theatre scene. She feels incredibly lucky to have made such wonderful connections in the theatre indsutry and feels so grateful to everyone she has collaborated with as both an actor and a director. Since Fentress Films was first created in 2020, we have gone on to:
- Produce several short films (including the award-winning film, Dangerous Discourse, which is about a friend group navigating political discussions, as well as Life in a Vial, which is about type one diabetes and insulin affordability)
- Direct singer/songwriter, Kunle Ulysses's new music video for his song titled "Daylight"
- Produce two web series, The Fentress Readings (7 seasons) and Virtual Love in Lockdown (1 season)
- Be featured at 30+ international film festivals (including The Colorado International Activism Film Festival, Hollywood Art and Movie Awards, International Social Change Film Festival, and the Sweden Film Awards)
- Win awards for our produced work (5 awards) and be nominated for awards (20 nominations)
- Write 15+ award-winning screenplays including Love Drives Me On (award winner for Best Short Screenplay at Queer Writes Fest) and The Alpha Complex (nominee for Best Short Screenplay at the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards)
- Be featured in Shoutout Colorado (2021) and Voyage Magazine (2022)
- Host two annual international film festivals: The Fentress Film Fest (2020-2024) and The Fentress Student Film Fest (2021-2024)
- Publish 5 editions of a digital and print arts magazine, The Fentress Fanzine, that highlights work from creatives from around the world (including Alfretz Costelo, Anna Snapp, Aidan Martinez, Sophia Dotson, Radheya Jegatheva, Rachel Rath, Sofia JoAnna Popol, and more)
- Teach masterclasses and lectures at the Uinversity of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) and on Zoom
- Work with over 250 actors and filmmakers from across the globe (including creatives from Oscar Shortlists, writers for Disney, writers for Dreamworks, and more)
- Advocate for social change (including medication affordability, LGBTQ+ rights/history, and mental health)
